Sega dio a conocer el fin de la distribución de un determinado grupo de juegos clásicos y bundles de Sega para el 6 de diciembre de 2024 en las tiendas digitales de Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox y PC (Steam). Los juegos que conforman la lista pertenecen, en su mayoría, a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive y Sega Dreamcast.
Los usuarios que hayan adquirido cualquiera de estos productos antes de dicha fecha, podrá mantenerlos en su librería y jugarlos en cualquier momento. Y en lo que respecta a los miembros del Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, Sega menciona que “selectos títulos clásicos individuales aún serán jugables” para aquellos que tengan su suscripción.
