La desarrolladora Sting ha lanzado el remaster de Dokapon! Sword of Fury en las Nintendo eShops de Nintendo Switch en regiones occidentales, estando disponible por US$24.99/€24,99, con un descuento de lanzamiento del 20% hasta el 7 de mayo de 2025.
Conocido originalmente como Dokapon! Ikari no Tekken, es un juego de híbrido que combina la jugabilidad de los juegos de mesa y el género RPG, lanzado para la PlayStation en noviembre de 1998 solo para Japón. Esta remasterización llegaría primero para Nintendo Switch el 1ro de agosto de 2024, también en Japón, con un lanzamiento en PC (Steam) el 21 de enero de 2025.
En estos juegos, los jugadores deben moverse a través de un tablero y embarcarse en una aventura para conseguir la mayor cantidad de dinero posible, mientras derrotan monstruos, comprar armas y consiguen subir de nivel. El sistema de combate se basa en el estilo piedra-papel-tijeras (RPS), donde será necesario atacar conociendo las fortalezas y debilidades del enemigo o de otros jugadores para superar el reto.
Como parte de las adiciones de esta remasterización, es posible cambiar rebalancear el juego al sazón del jugador, elegir la velocidad o número de rondas de la partida, cambiar los temas musicales de fondo por los de entregas anteriores, o elegir el tipo de apariencia para los elementos en pantalla, entre moderno y original.
